Classic Spaghetti Bolognese

A hearty Italian meat sauce slow-cooked to perfection, served over al dente spaghetti.
Ingredients
500g ground beef, 400g canned crushed tomatoes, 1 onion (diced), 3 cloves garlic (minced), 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 carrot (grated), 1 celery stalk (diced), 1/2 cup red wine, 1 tsp dried oregano, salt and pepper, 400g spaghetti, Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté onion, carrot and celery until soft (5 min). 2. Add garlic and cook 1 min. 3. Add ground beef and brown, breaking it up. 4. Pour in red wine and cook until evaporated. 5. Add crushed tomatoes and oregano. Season with salt and pepper. 6. Simmer on low for 30-40 min. 7. Cook spaghetti per package directions. 8. Serve sauce over pasta topped with Parmesan.
